BLINDS VALANCE
All our Venetian blinds come with a Valance which is a form of window treatment that covers the uppermost part of the window blind.
Valances are a popular decorative choice in concealing interior blind hardware.
Valances can used for ceiling fix (fitted into the reveal) or face fix (fitted on the outside of the reveal) blinds.
BLINDS CHAINS
Chain Types:
Blinds Chains are available in either standard white or with the chrome metallic finish.
Chain Lengths:
Standard chain lengths are either 1 Meter, 2 Meters, 3 Meters or otherwise please specify your chain length.
BLINDS MEASUREMENTS
Fitting & Measuring Blinds for Face Fix or Reveal Fix
Reveal / ceiling fix blinds – are blinds fitted into the window reveal. These blinds have a width and drop less than face fix blinds. With reveal fix blinds there are small gaps between the sides of the reveal to allow the blind to move up and down without interference.
Face fix blinds – are blinds fitted outside of the window reveal. Face fix blinds have a width and drop greater than reveal blinds as they overlap the reveal on all 4 sides by 50mm to 100mm.

ROLLER BLINDS
A Roller Blind does not have slats but consists of a single piece of material that is rolled up and down via a chain and roller mechanism. Roller blind fabric can either be total block out or perforated, which allows for a certain amount of light and visibility through the blind.
ROMAN BLINDS
Roman Blinds are made up of a white aluminium profile which houses the manual control system, a fabric section where stiffening rods are located, which ensure neat folds when the blind is raised. Roman Blinds come in the same light filtering or black out fabrics as roller blinds.
VERTICAL BLINDS
Vertical Blinds have vertical slats and are a very practical solution for just about any application. The choice of fabric will determine the desired protection required. Light will filter through this blind vertically. Rather than lifting and lowering blinds, vertical blinds operate in a horizontal draw to one side action to open and close. They work great on windows and doors that slide from one side to the other. Vertical blinds do not collect as much dust as horizontal blinds since they stand vertically.

Caring For Your Blinds
Cleaning of a window blind is less complicated than curtain. Wipe with a damp cloth from time to time to remove the dust. Never clean wooden blinds with thinners based solvents as these could remove the varnish on the slat and cause irreparable damage.
Installation
Blinds are either ceiling fixed (into the underside of the reveal) or face fixed (into the face of the wall above the reveal). In simple terms the blinds are either fixed into or outside of the reveal.
